Yesterday I was locked in the park, you can read about it on my other blog if you so wish.

  • Bike goes for MOT

    :wave:Hi everyone

This is my first attempt at a blog so I thought I would ramble on about what I've been up to today.

Today started off with me dragging my bike out of the garage to take it for an MOT. My mate Dave came over on his thou and off we set to Bedlington to get the bike MOT'd. Dropped the bike off at 9.20 and had a look round the shop to see what bikes were for sale and a what prices. Been thinking about trading my 6 in for a thou, but all are slightly to pricey for me at the mo, so I'll be hanging on to the 6 for a while yet.

Anyhow the bike passed the MOT with just one advisory "exhaust noisy", so it's official, I have a noisy can, woo hoo. So after talking to a nice chap who's off to Monte Carlo next year on his bike to watch the Grand Prix, we set off for a little run out. We couldn't go far as I needed to be back to take Ben (my 4 year old) to his friends birthday party. We decide to have a little jaunt along the coast to Whitley Bay & Tynemouth. An uneventful ride, but the sun was shining and the raods were dry, an unusual event for August this year. Not much traffic on the roads today either.

After arriving at Tynemouth we decided to pop over to see my brother Mike and grab a coffee. We had a quick chat and coffee and I had to leave, Dave stayed for a while longer. I set off and arrived home about 11.10, put the bike away in the garage and got ready to go to the party. Anne (my Partner), Ben and myself then jumped in to the car and set off in search of the party at the Percy Arms in Walbottle.

We managed to get lost, well not lost really, we couldn't find the Percy Arms, so a phone call later we eventually arrived. The back room was full of kids running about and generally enjoying themselves. It was then time for the kids to have some food and party games. It was soon time to leave as Anne has a season ticket for the Toon. So off we set to drop her at St James' Park. We were only 15 minutes away so it didn't take long.

After dropping Anne off at the footy Ben & I went home. He decided he would like to watch Ben 10, one of his favourite TV shows at the mo. I had a little play on the new laptop, lovely piece of kit, it's a Dell Inspiron 1720 and we've only had it a week so I'm still finding my way round it and Vista.

We soon had to go pick Anne up after the football and back home for some food. Anne is then off out with some friends for a few drinks, it's been a while since she was last out so she is really looking forward to it. Boys night in for me and Ben.

Anyway I think I've rambled on enough for now, so I'm going to try and post this and see if I can find it to see what it looks like.
